Short Answer: No. In New York, you have the legal right to choose any auto body repair shop you trust.

New York State law protects your right to select the repair facility of your choice. While insurance companies often have “Direct Repair Programs” (DRP) with specific shops, these agreements are often based on cost-containment. By choosing VIVE Collision of Albany, you are choosing a facility that prioritizes manufacturer-recommended repair procedures and your vehicle’s safety. We work with all major insurance carriers and will handle the communication with their adjusters regardless of whether we are on their “list” or not.

Short Answer: Repair times vary based on damage severity, typically ranging from 3 days to 2 weeks.

Providing an exact timeline immediately is difficult because the full extent of damage is often hidden behind the bumper or body panels. Once VIVE Collision of Albany begins the “blueprinting” phase—where we take the vehicle apart to see every damaged component—we can provide a much more accurate completion date. Factors that influence the duration include the speed of insurance approvals, the availability of specialized parts, and the complexity of the recalibration required for safety electronics.
